Introduction
The Institute of Health Sciences (IHS) at Khwaja Fareed University of Engineering & Information Technology (KFUEIT), Rahim Yar Khan, was established in 2019 with a vision to provide quality education, research, and professional training in the allied health sciences.
Beginning with six undergraduate programs, the Institute has grown rapidly to meet the increasing demand for skilled allied health professionals in rapidly growing Health Care Industry at national and international level. In recognition of its academic progress, the Department was elevated to the Institute of Health Sciences on 4 March 2022, marking a significant milestone in its journey.
The Institute further expanded in 2024 by introducing the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program, increasing its academic portfolio to seven undergraduate degree programs and strengthening its role in healthcare education
Today, IHS offers a dynamic learning environment where students develop a strong foundation in scientific and research knowledge, practical laboratory skills, clinical training, communication skills and professional ethics. Our programs are designed in accordance with the guidelines of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) undergraduate policies and Allied Health Professional Councils Pakistan to prepare graduates for successful careers at national and international levels in global healthcare systems.
