Directorate of Graduate Studies
The postgraduate education in Khwaja Fareed University of Engineering & Information Technology (KFUEIT) is conducted under the overall supervision of the Directorate of Graduate Studies. The Directorate of Graduate Studies is the administrative department which deals with admission, registration, delivery of courses, quality of teaching & research, monitoring and liaison with the degree offering departments and other stakeholders of the University.
There are currently five Doctoral degree programs and twelve Master’s degree programs approved by the Academic Council of the University, which relate to different disciplines such as Engineering, Information Technology, Basic Sciences and Management Sciences. Some of these programs are being offered at the University and others will be started soon after receiving NOC by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan.
To face the challenges of the rapidly changing society and an increasing need of the country, the Directorate has planned to work together with the Faculties and Academic Departments of the University to offer opportunities to the students who are seeking quality education to contribute for the socio-economic development of the country.

The Procurement Department is a service unit established in September 28, 2015 to support the educational and research missions of the Khwaja Fareed University of Engineering & Information Technology by purchasing quality goods and services at competitive prices, promoting supplychain diversification, exercising proper financial stewardship for payments and providing responsive service to all University departments. It is staffed by procurement professionals who have the requisite knowledge, skills and training to assist University personnel in the purchase of required goods and services.

The examination cell of KFUEIT is established for handling all matters related to University exams and is responsible for maintaining their quality and standards. The examination department works in compliance with HEC guidelines and KFUEIT undergraduate and examination regulations. All academic results are prepared within this department keeping a high level of secrecy, honesty and integrity.
At KFUEIT we understand that the evolution of institution is directly proportional to the emergence of new technologies and that the inculcation of the knowledge of contemporary technologies requires liaison with industry. This vision leads to the establishment of the Office of Research, Innovation & Commercialization (ORIC) at KFUEIT in 2016, on the directions of Higher Education Commission (HEC). ORIC is operatingon the mandate of generating new ideas to enrich the knowledge base that supports the academic agenda of Khwaja Fareed University of Engineering & Information Technology (KFUEIT) and its members (students, faculty & staff) for achieving sustainable and equitable development in the academic area. Continuous development is the basic need for the working professionals. To enhance the skills and equip with the latest tools the esteemed University KFUEIT has established the Professional Development Centre (PDC). Through this center not only students but the professionals and entrepreneurs are getting benefits. The PDC of the University helps to enhance the skills in different areas of the business such as Office Management, Project Management, Auto CAD, Solid Works, CCNA, MCSA etc. More than 10 courses are being offered to the students and professionals to come and enroll. Through this center we utilize our skilled Faculty professionals to polish and enhance the skills of the students.
PDC is the means by which members of professional bodies and other beneficiaries maintain, improve and broaden their knowledge and skills for developing personal qualities required in their professional lives. Engr. Ghias Mahmood Khan with the guidance of Worthy Vice Chancellor Dr. Professor Athar Mahboob (TI) initiated this department about a year ago. Since then it is serving to all of its stakeholders from all sectors of the local community.

Career Counseling Center (CCC) has a mission to educate and guide the students through collective sessions, placement in appropriate internship sites, arrangement of job fairs, campus recruitments, guidance through seminars / testing / interviews of graduating students and arrangement of industrial visits. CCC has established strong collaboration with industries, chamber of commerce and professional bodies to enhance the professional and industrial acumen of the students by arranging internships, community outreach programs, industrial visits, in-house orientation session and placements for regular jobs.

KFUEIT has by far the latest and updated Information & Communication Technology (ICT) infrastructure. With an objective of having strong ICT infrastructure in KFUEIT. We have embarked upon an ICT infrastructure design through which we can implement all sorts of information systems with ZERO cost for the software component by leveraging open source technologies. For the hardware and networking components we have implemented solutions with long life and low cost. Additionally, with a minimum number of support staff, the deployed IT infrastructure and services give KFUEIT a leading edge over all other universities in the region. Solutions that we have made operational at KFUEIT for the academia include the technologies of learning management, University management, project management, communication and collaboration, virtual private networking, thin client computing and multimedia services.

Higher Education Commission has launched Microsoft IT academy and Certiport Testing Center at KFUEIT. The main objective is to enhance the competitiveness and marketability of all students through the Certifications which is globally accepted and widely acknowledged with the name Microsoft. For the convenience of students and to get themselves prepared for Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Certifications, Digital Contents of Microsoft is available at the facility; whereas to appear in the Exam the same facility is available to students as Certiport Testing Center.

Importance of a well-equipped library is an integral part of any University and it gets enhanced when it comes to meet academic and research needs of a tertiary level academic institution. Cognizant of the fact, KFUEIT places the highest importance to the development of its library with a modern 21st century infrastructure and large collection of books and audio-visual resources.
KFUEIT Library has already acquired about 12,000 books in its collection with subscription of 40 science and engineering journals in print. Library is open to students from Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Well qualified library professionals are available for prompt assistance any time during the working hours. Library is air conditioned with Wifi connectivity. Library books can be easily accessed through Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) developed in library automation software KOHA. HEC digital library is also accessible to students and faculty.
In its immediate plans, KFUEIT Library aims to add 2,200 international and local book titles along with 15 journal titles per year over the next 3 years and access to digital databases including IET digital library, McGraw HM collections, Springer Link, Taylor & Francis Journals, Wiley Blackwell etc. (sin process. At KFUEIT Medical Centre, consultation and advisory health services are available for students, faculty and staff. The Medical Centre is housed with two medical officers and paramedical staff. A dedicated ambulance remains at service to the Medical Centre round the clock to handle emergencies. In order to facilitate the talented and needy student, the University offers substantial number of scholarships and financial assistants so that the future leaders do not discontinue their studies because of financial constraints. To ensure transparency and meritocracy, a committee manages all matters related to scholarships and financial assistance.
The major function of the Scholarships Committee is not only to evaluate the Need Based and Merit Scholarships but also to recommend the students for Fareed Scholarship, Pakistan Baitul Mal, Ministry of Religious Affairs and IEP – SAC (Saudi Arabia) Scholarship.

The Transport Department renders the quality policy of KFUEIT by providing unperturbed and cost effective transport facility to students, faculty and staff. University has a fleet of buses that includes six Hino Buses, one Toyota Coaster, one Toyota Hi-Aceand other pool vehicles. Khwaja Fareed University of Engineering & Information Technology, being a newly established University has facilitated the students coming from across the country in hotels which have been arranged in Govt. College of Technology, RahimYar Khan and Govt. Girls College Sukkur Adda,Rahim Yar Khan. These hostels have capacity to accommodate about 300 males and 50 female students respectively.
Hostel affairs are managed by a competent and dedicated team of full time staff, available roundthe clock. In addition to the messing, TV Room,Study Hall, Mosque, Indoor games hall, internet accessibility, Tuck shop and other essential utility services are available to the residents.

Since the University is in its massive expansion phase, so the importance of Planning & Development Department phenomenal. The Planning & Development Department is responsible for the space programming, planning, design, preparation of construction and contract documents and construction administration for the major maintenance, alterations and new construction for all University facilities and building systems.
Planning & Development Department consists of two sub-teams, the Engineering Team and the Finishing Team.The Engineering Team focuses on the engineering design and supervision of structural elements ofthe building construction including physical layout of the buildings as per the master plan, excavation and back-filling, soil treatment, foundation, building structure, roof water-proofing, integration withutility services (including electricity, water andgas), external development, boundary wall, roads,etc. The Finishing Team focuses on supervising the finishing works of the building, once its structural elements are completed. The finishing elements include exterior finish, flooring, false ceiling, fixtures and fittings, paint, lighting, cooling, telephone anddata communication cabling, fire alarm system,doors and windows, etc.
