UAE Presidency’s Private Department Hands Over Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed IT & AI Centre to KFUEIT
Rahim Yar Khan: [12-11-2025]— A landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Private Department of the President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Khwaja Fareed University of Engineering & Information Technology (KFUEIT), paving the way for the formal handover of the Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan IT & AI Centre, opposite cant gate No. 2, Near Rahmani Mosque, Abu Dhabi Road, Rahim Yar Khan.
Following the signing, a handover ceremony was held to mark the transfer of operational control to KFUEIT through its South Punjab Institute of Skills Development (SPISD).
The ceremony was attended by Prof. Ir. Dr. Amir Azam Khan, Vice Chancellor KFUEIT; Prof. Dr. Muhammad Sagir, Dean / Director SPISD; Major (R) Irfan Mustafa, Manager All Regions, UAE Presidency’s Private Department and his team; Mr. Muhammad Abid Ali, Deputy Registrar KFUEIT, Mr. Muhammad Amjad, Superviser SPISD. The MoU was signed by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Sagir and Major (R) Irfan Mustafa.
Through this agreement, KFUEIT assumes complete operational and administrative control of the Centre, which will now offer advanced training in Artificial Intelligence, Web Development, Cybersecurity, Digital Marketing, and E-commerce to empower the youth of South Punjab.
Prof. Ir. Dr. Amir Azam Khan termed the handover “a milestone of cooperation and technological progress,” while Prof. Dr. Muhammad Sagir said, “This Centre will serve as a beacon of learning and innovation for the youth of South Punjab,” adding that “we are committed to nurturing future leaders and digital entrepreneurs through this initiative.” Major (R) Irfan Mustafa appreciated the university’s commitment to carrying forward the UAE’s vision of skill development.
