Two-Day Divisional Table Tennis Tournament Concludes with Great Enthusiasm at KFUEIT
The vibrant energy of sportsmanship and unity echoed through the halls of Khwaja Fareed University of Engineering and Information Technology (KFUEIT) as the much-anticipated Two-Day Divisional Table Tennis Tournament came to a spectacular close.
The event brought together top talent from across the region, featuring dynamic participation from Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, and Rahim Yar Khan districts, alongside the host team, KFUEIT. In a remarkable show of support for regional sports, the Worthy Vice Chancellor of KFUEIT proudly represented the Rahim Yar Khan District team, adding a special spark to the tournament.
Held over the weekend, the tournament concluded on Sunday, April 21, 2025, after two action-packed days filled with thrilling team and singles matches. The competition kept spectators on the edge of their seats, with roaring cheers and passionate displays of skill lighting up the venue.
The Bahawalnagar District team emerged as the champions of the tournament, displaying exceptional talent, coordination, and determination throughout the event. Their victory was met with thunderous applause and served as a shining example of sports excellence in South Punjab.
The grand closing ceremony was graced by the WVC KFUEIT as the chief guest, accompanied by the District Sports Officer Rahim Yar Khan and the Secretary of the Punjab Table Tennis Association. Shields, trophies, and cash prizes were awarded to the top performers in recognition of their dedication and achievements.
Addressing the gathering, the Vice Chancellor lauded the players’ commitment and highlighted the significance of such events in nurturing talent and encouraging inter-district harmony. He proudly announced that next year’s edition of the tournament will be hosted in Bahawalpur, with ambitions to scale it up to the national level. He also emphasized the need for a formal ranking system to better recognize emerging talent.
