Mental Health and Migration: Consequences of Irregular Migration

Khwaja Fareed University of Engineering and Information Technology, through its Institute of Health Sciences, organized an insightful seminar titled “Mental Health and Migration: Consequences of Irregular Migration” on 26th February 2026 at the Civil Auditorium.

The seminar featured Ms. Bakhtawar Aziz, Lecturer IHS, and Ms. Sana Shafique, MRC Counsellor at International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD) as distinguished resource persons. They shared valuable perspectives on the psychological, emotional, and social implications of irregular migration, emphasizing awareness, prevention, and informed decision-making among youth.

The session was well-received by faculty members and students, fostering meaningful dialogue on mental health challenges linked to migration trends.

In recognition of her valuable contribution, a Shield of Appreciation was presented to Ms. Bakhtawar Aziz at the conclusion of the seminar.
