KFUEIT Hosts Annual Sports Gala 2025 with Grand Opening Ceremony

The Annual Sports Gala 2025 at Khwaja Fareed University of Engineering & Information Technology (KFUEIT) was formally inaugurated in an impressive ceremony held on campus. The event was graced by Deputy Commissioner Rahim Yar Khan, Zahir Anwar Jappa, as the chief guest, while the proceedings were led under the dynamic leadership of the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ir. Dr. Amir Azam Khan.

A large gathering comprising university deans, faculty members, administrative officers, and a significant number of male and female students attended the opening ceremony, reflecting the vibrant academic and co-curricular culture of the university.

Addressing the participants, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized the importance of sports in promoting positive activities among youth. He highlighted that sports not only contribute to physical fitness but also nurture discipline, teamwork, leadership, and a healthy competitive spirit. He reaffirmed that the Punjab Government and district administration would continue to extend full support for the promotion of co-curricular activities in educational institutions. He also congratulated the university administration on organizing a well-managed Sports Gala and encouraged students to actively participate in sports alongside their academic pursuits.

Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chancellor Prof. Ir. Dr. Amir Azam Khan thanked the Deputy Commissioner for his presence and support. He also expressed gratitude to Mr. Sheikh Imad ud Din, CEO Khaloos Ghee, and Mian Aamir Shahbaz (JPL) for their cooperation and support in promoting sports and youth activities at the university. The Vice Chancellor underlined that KFUEIT accords special importance to sports and co-curricular activities to ensure the holistic development of students.

The Vice Chancellor specially appreciated the efforts of the Sports Department and Director Sports, Dr. Basharat, for their dedicated planning, coordination, and successful organization of the Annual Sports Gala 2025. He acknowledged that the professionalism and commitment of the sports team played a key role in making the event vibrant, disciplined, and engaging for students.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, the Deputy Commissioner visited various sports venues, observed different matches, and appreciated the enthusiasm and performance of the students. The Sports Gala features competitions in cricket, football, volleyball, badminton, athletics, and several other games, promising an exciting and energetic series of events on campus.
