KFUEIT Delegation Meets Governor Punjab: Major Announcement for Nawazabad Campus
On 13 July, 2025 A high-level delegation from Khwaja Fareed University of Engineering and Information Technology (KFUEIT), Rahim Yar Khan, held a special meeting with the Chancellor of the University and Governor of Punjab, Sardar Salim Haider Khan.
The meeting, held under the guidance of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Aamir Azam Khan, was led by Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Shahzad Murtaza. Registrar Engr. Dr. Javed Iqbal was also part of the delegation.
The discussion focused on the university’s ongoing progress and its pivotal role in promoting quality higher education in the region. A major highlight of the meeting was the generous announcement by Member of the Provincial Assembly, Mumtaz Ali Chang, who offered to donate land and a purpose-built building for the establishment of a KFUEIT campus in Nawazabad.
Speaking to the media, Governor Punjab Sardar Salim Haider Khan said:
“MPA Mumtaz Ali Chang has independently constructed a large facility with meeting rooms and hundreds of rooms. He is ready to donate the land and building—worth millions—for the university campus. We will ensure all necessary steps are taken to formally establish this campus, and I assure full cooperation in this regard.”
The KFUEIT delegation expressed sincere gratitude to MPA Mumtaz Ali Chang and acknowledged the support of the Chancellor and Vice Chancellor. They reaffirmed their commitment to expanding higher education access to underdeveloped and remote areas under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Aamir Azam Khan.
The university delegation also included Secretary to Vice Chancellor Rana Jahanzeb Khan and Mr. Ali Raza Gopang. A large number of local dignitaries were also present during the meeting.
