Anton Paar Litesizer 500 — Dynamic, Electrophoretic & Static Light Scattering System
The Litesizer™ 500 is an instrument for characterizing Nano- and microparticles in dispersions and solutions. It determines particle size, zeta potential, and molecular mass by measuring dynamic light scattering (DLS), electrophoretic light scattering (ELS), and static light scattering (SLS). Particle size analysis is used to characterize the size distribution of particles in a given sample. It works on the principle that when a beam of light (a laser) is scattered by a group of particles, the angle of light scattering is inversely proportional to particle size (i.e. the smaller the particle size, the larger the angle of light scattering).
