The CS2350 has two sets of built-in independent potentiostat/galvanostat, so experiments can be conducted simultaneously in each channel, and it equals having two full potentiostat/galvanostat units in a single instrument.

Besides independent operation, the two channels can jointly complete two-working-electrode experiments such as rotating ring-disk electrode (RRDE) and hydrogen diffusion test (HDT), making the CS2350 a genuine double-channel potentiostat/galvanostat designed for versatile electrochemical research. Each channel provides the full suite of electrochemical techniques including electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), and the system supports 2-, 3-, or 4-electrode configurations for broad experimental flexibility.

Analytical Capabilities & Compatible Sample Types

The CS2350 accommodates liquid electrolyte systems, coated and bare metallic specimens, energy-storage materials, and gas-evolving catalytic systems through interchangeable electrode and cell accessories.

  • Rotating Ring-Disk Electrode (RRDE) / ORR Studies — One channel performs LSV on the disk electrode while the second channel applies constant polarization to the ring electrode, detecting reaction intermediates for oxygen reduction/evolution reaction studies.
  • Hydrogen Diffusion Test (HDT) — Used with Devanathan-Stachurski H-cells to measure cathodic hydrogen-charging current and anodic hydrogen-atom oxidation current, from which the hydrogen diffusion coefficient and hydrogen flux in metals are calculated.
  • Energy Materials — Characterization of Li-ion and sodium-ion batteries, supercapacitors, fuel cells, and solar cells via charge/discharge, CV, and EIS techniques.
  • Corrosion & Anti-Corrosion Evaluation — Polarization curve, electrochemical noise, and EIS-based assessment of metals, coatings, inhibitors, and cathodic protection performance.
  • Electrosynthesis & Electrodeposition — Reaction-mechanism studies for electroplating, anodic oxidation, and electrolysis processes.
  • Sensor & Bioanalytical Applications — Voltammetric detection with peak-area, peak-current, and standard-curve analysis support in CS Studio software.
