Dr. Shahzad Murtaza joined KFUEIT as a Professor of Chemistry in April 2022. Before he served the University of Gujrat as Assistant Professor and Associate Professor and played a key role in the development of the Department of Chemistry, UOG. He also served as HOD and Chairperson of the Chemistry Department, Chairman Hall Council and Director of QEC. He completed his Ph.D. (With Distinction) in Organic Chemistry from the University of Innsbruck, Innsbruck, Austria under an HEC overseas scholarship.

He published a number of research articles in reputed national and international journals.
