Center of Advances in Chemical Sciences (CACS)

Introduction

The Center for Advances in Chemical Sciences is aimed to develop the research facilities and capabilities in the field of Chemistry at KFUEIT, Rahim Yar Khan, Pakistan. The foundation of the center is the step towards the accomplishment of the broad agenda of providing research-based education with sophisticated and step up lab facilities provoking big ideas. By the passage of time the center will further boost its manpower skills developing structural merits and foster up to date research methods among future research scholars of the country.

Objective

Establishment of research center is mainly to strengthen the MS and Ph.D. programs at KFUEIT to produce researchers with state of the art skills in chemical sciences in future who possibly will pursue their career in academia and industry and will provide a vital linkage between them.

  • Research friendly environment and easy access to all the other research centers, institutes, departments and research scholars in KFUEIT
  • To assist the local industry in identifying and resolving their problems to address the challenges of modern technology
  • To run refresher course for college level teachers in order to improve the quality of instruction in lab practices as per need and requirement
  • To aid Governmental and Non-Governmental organizations in monitoring environmental issues
  • To maximize performance of future research assessments
  • To organize frequently conferences, symposia, workshops and lectures of renowned scholars to exchange their scientific ideas and expertise

2- Inorganic Chemistry (Nano materials)

Introduction

Department of Chemistry, Inorganic section, Khwaja Fareed University of Engineering and Information Technology Rahim Yar Khan.

Objective

Synthesis, characterization and applications of nano scale polyoxometalates and their hybrids with organic moieties. To enhance and promote the valuable research for society. The ultimate aims of research are to generate measurable and testable data, gradually adding to the accumulation of human knowledge. Polyoxometaates are the main entities to accept the electrons from donor moitiies so they provide us a good place to transfer the energy.
